The design used on this project was intended to bring out a more, old world look and also bring warmth to this kitchen. The original cabinets were white thermo-foil builder type. They looked very clean but were also very bland. The customer wanted something more traditional and rustic. We decided to use the Dewils Onida base cabinets with a shaker style on the top cabinets. The Onida door style is the same as a shaker door, but it has a beaded center panel which gives a cottage rustic look. The custom wooden hood is a centerpiece that allowed for some decorative tile work underneath. Brazilian Tigerwood floors added another level of depth and color to the new kitchen and also tied in the surrounding rooms.
