DIAMOND KITCHEN AND BATH PANORAMIC KITCHEN GALLERY
|
|
This Kitchen was originally very small with a peninsula. The room
was all open to the adjoining rooms and was poorly integrated and
had no flow at all. We designed a modified galley style kitchen
that would integrate the surrounding rooms. Starting with the
Brazilian Walnut plank hardwood flooring which was placed
throughout the main floor. In the dining room we installed a
custom matching hutch using Dewils cabinets with decorative
leaded glass doors.

This design is based on using a european country style.
The homeowner wanted a kitchen that would set them apart
from all of the homes in there area. We used Dewils inset
beaded doors in Maple clear with a brown glaze. The look
is very Tuscan Country. The onyx backsplash is highlighted
by a mural above the commercial style range. We built an
additional buffet for staorage of wine. The kitchens overall
look is beautiful and functional.

One can tell: "Very neat and clean". That would be the true
description of this project. The choice of colors for frameless
cabinetry was properly coordinated with the floor and backsplash
selection which resulted in giving the missing character and
vivid look to the kitchen.
A travertine backsplash fits well into the picture adding all
natural colors and helping create a smoother transition between
two contrasting base and wall cabinets.

Several luxury appliances were added in order to maximize the
functional space of this kitchen. The large open shelves tie the
units together as a whole, however separating this spacious
kitchen from the family room. The flanking SubZero refrigerator
is combined with a matching pantry for a large armoire type effect.
Mixing natural elements like wood and granite helped create warmth
in the kitchen.

A few important changes were made to this kitchen in order to achieve
the most efficient configuration and optimal storage: removal of all
existing soffits and pantry closet; notching the wall down to 42"
hight which resulted in providing the break between the kitchen
and family room; relocating appliances for the maximum use and
functionality, gaining greater uninterrupted counter working area.

This kitchen was small and dated, the customer needed a larger and
more functional space. Next to the kitchen was a utility room
that was not used very often. Our designers decided to remove the
wall between the rooms and create a large space that would
allow for a large island and a higher cabinet capacity.
The transitional look is both timeless and functional.

The design used on this project was intended to bring out a more,
old world look and also bring warmth to this kitchen. The original
cabinets were white thermo-foil builder type. They looked very clean
but were also very bland. The customer wanted something more traditional
and rustic. We decided to use the Dewils Onida base cabinets with a
shaker style on the top cabinets. The Onida door style is the same as a
shaker door, but it has a beaded center panel which gives a
cottage rustic look.

Updating the existing design and configuration was a real
challenge due to the elongated and rather narrow shape of
the kitchen. Halogen recessed lighting have been updated
to replace the old fluorescent ones on the ceiling and
undoubtedly created a very unique combination in accordance
with glazed cherry cabinets and dark (Tan Brown) counter surface.
All modern appliances help characterize the overall the kitchen
look ultimately giving this kitchen a distinctive homey feeling.

This was an original 1950's kitchen, very small and
plain. Our specialists decided to open up the space
and remove on wall and extend the kitchen partially
in to the dining area. The style chosen was a modern
take on an old world style. Using rustic coloring
on maple cabinets with wide style shaker doors, the
look is fresh and clean while still maintaining
the flow with the rest of the home.
